Christmas Ornaments – Crystal Icicle

A pretty crystal icicles kit this time around, and one that’s relatively simple to make.

As with the other ornaments, these will be for sale at my Christmas sales, but would love to hear what you think!

Hope you like them!

Crystal Icicles Christmas Ornaments

Tools Needed: Pliers, Wire Cutters, Ruler, Glue

Materials Needed: 180 x 10mm clear fanned beads, 180 x 12mm clear fanned beads, 90 x 4mm clear bicones, 90 x 6mm clear bicone beads, 90 x 8mm bicone beads

Method:

  1. Cut pipecleaners into 4″ (10cm) pieces.
  2. Make a closed hook shape in the end of the pipecleaner
  3. Onto the pipecleaner thread on (in this order) 6 x 12mm fanned beads, 6 x 10mm fanned beads, 3 x 8mm bicones, 3 x 6mm bicones and 3 x 4mm bicones, applying a little glue before the last bead.
  4. Cut the end off the remaining pipecleaner and turn under to support beads, then thread monofilament line or thread through the top hook shape to hang the ornaments.

As usual, pictures to illustrate. Not the greatest ones from the instruction sheet, but done my best!
