Pearls & Flowers!

These pretty fimo flower & pearl earrings are simple to make, so were a great starter project for me. I got the kits from The Bead Shop, Manchester (www.the-beadshop.co.uk), and have made them in different colours – white and cream, red, lavender and rosaline (a light pink). They look great in all the different colours, and will make brilliant formal or informal jewellery.

Hope you like them!

Fimo Flower & Pearl Earrings (designed by Emily Kersh)

Tools Needed: Round-Nose Pliers & Wire Cutters

Materials Needed (nb colours are dependent on colour of earrings made): 2 x Swarovski 11x8mm Pearl Shaped Coloured Pearls, 2 x 4mm Xilion Bicone Swarovski Coloured Crystal, 2 x 6mm Xilion Swarovski Coloured Crystal, 2 x 12mm Fimo Coloured Flower Bead, 4 x 50mm Silver-plated Headpins, 4 x 50mm Silver-plated Eyepins, 2 x Silver-plated Fishook Earwires.

Method:

  1. Thread a fimo flower and a 6mm Swarovski bicone onto an eyepin, then make into a wrapped loop. Repeat on other eyepin.
  2. Thread a Swarovski pearl and then a 4mm Swarovski bicone onto a headpin, then make into a simple loop. Repeat on the other headpin.
  3. Now open the bottom of the flower eyepin and thread on one of the drops and close. Repeat with other earring.
  4. Open the loop on the earwires and attach the completed drop to the earring.

And your earrings are complete!!

As usual, pictures to illustrate. Not the greatest ones from the instruction sheet, but done my best!
