New Year, New Challenge!

Hello!

My name is Donna and this blog will chart my journey during 2012 through the challenge of learning a new craft every month, trying to complete a project each week. It will have pictures and diary entries along the way, along with lessons for how some of the things I’ve produced are made so you can have a go too!

So who am I, and what does crafting mean to me? Quite simply, it is the thing that keeps me sane! I suffered a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) in 2007 and spent the whole year in hospital. I made some really basic greeting cards to use for writing to relatives, and to relieve boredom, and when I got home I carried on doing this. I’ve been selling these simple cards at a local Christmas craft fair for the last couple of years, donating the money to charity, but now I want to learn other crafts to challenge me more and expand my repertoire. And, being stuck in the house all day, every day, I have plenty of time to learn them!

So, bring it on 2012 – let’s see what you’ve got to offer!….
